Technology has changed our world forever.

There is an old proverb that states; “One cannot speak of oceans to a well frog.” A friend of mine wondered about this and decided that perhaps the frog was ill and that was the problem. So we see that communication is never to be taken for granted! The proverb, of course, is referring to the frog’s dwelling place, not his state of health. Therein lies part of the lesson. Written words, knowledge, information, and wisdom are not one and the same. Through technology, we have suddenly opened our horizons to the point of incredible productivity and overload. Our limited view as well frogs has expanded almost overnight to include the oceans of global markets, fund transfers at the speed of light, and information overload. How do we deal with this as individuals and as members of organizations competing in this vast, fast, and ever changing world?
