Mr. Markus Levy announces that he will provide advisory services to new firm.

Markus Levy is Founder and President of the Embedded Microprocessor Benchmark Consortium (EEMBC), a nonprofit organization chartered with the task of developing and evolving application-level benchmarks for embedded processors. Markus has served as EEMBC President for over 6 years. Under his guidance, EEMBC has become the preeminent industry-standard benchmarking organization for embedded processors. He also serves as President of EEMBC Certification Laboratory (ECL, LLC). where he directs Strategic Consulting and Due Diligence efforts, serves as ECL's primary interface with EEMBC, and provides key strategic direction for ECL. In addition, Markus directs ECL's Northern California Laboratory.
In 2000, Markus joined the Cahners MicroDesign Resources' team as a senior analyst focusing on processors for the embedded industry. His expertise in this area is derived from his experience as founder and president of EEMBC and ECL.
Prior to joining MicroDesign Resources, Levy spent seven years at EDN, writing articles that focused on microprocessors, DSPs, and associated development tools. He is particularly well known for his articles relating to hands-on, "in the lab" testing. At EDN, Levy was also responsible for developing the annual Microprocessor and DSP directories, comprising detailed descriptions of popular processor architectures.
Before EDN, Levy worked for Intel Corporation as both a senior applications engineer and customer training specialist for the company’s microprocessor and flash memory products. While at Intel, Markus received several patents for his ideas related to flash memory architecture and usage as a disk drive alternative. Levy is also co-author of Designing with Flash Memory, the one and only technical book on this subject. Markus has published a number of papers at various software and semiconductor-related conferences, and regularly gives presentations at Embedded Systems Conference, Embedded Processor Forum, and Microprocessor Forum. He lives with his wife and children in Shingle Springs, California.
