The Lead LadderBy Marcus Schaller
I had the pleasure of hearing Mr. Schaller present the concepts he developed for “painlessly turning strangers into clients, one step at a time.” I was impressed enough with his ideas, so clearly expressed, that I decided to spend the time to read his book which, I imagined, had more details about what he had been speaking about at our meeting. I was not disappointed.
This is a relatively quick read (a little over 100 pages), yet reinforces some of the basic and timeless precepts for effectively networking. Mr. Schaller clearly outlines how to set your goals, create a plan for achieving those goals, and applying the Lead Ladder concepts to your specific situation. Also covered are the value of creating and maintaining a database, how to advertise, how to make a compelling offer, as well as how to target your market. While he provides specific examples which may not apply to you, he has the foresight to explain how the fundamentals can be applied to different marketing needs, including the needs of the individual contributor.
I think enough of The Lead Ladder that I have purchased copies to provide each of the members of my CEO group.
